Today’s Collect prays that God, as if drawing from a huge reservoir of grace, will ‘pour into our hearts’ such love towards him that we will love him ‘above all things’. What that means, as Jesus explained, is to love God ‘with all your heart (commitment), with all your soul (longing), with all your mind (thinking), and with all your strength (serving)’, and to love your neighbour as yourself.
We continue to pray for Mark and Clare, as they settle into the Vicarage and our communities. We hope Hector the dog is enjoying getting to know the local footpaths!
