through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.  Amen

Watchet Carnival Weekend – Tea and cake at

Holy Cross Chapel on Saturday 30th July from 2pm
Do join us for Tea, Cake and a Chat. Lots of events on the Esplanade and around Watchet. (Please note that Swain Street will be closed from 2.00pm until 8.00pm for the Carnival.)

If anyone can offer to make a cake or help on the day, please contact Ros Whellams 07595 025592, or

Today’s Collect prays that God, as if drawing from a huge reservoir of grace, will ‘pour into our hearts’ such love towards him that we will love him ‘above all things’. What that means, as Jesus explained, is to love God ‘with all your heart (commitment), with all your soul (longing), with all your mind (thinking), and with all your strength (serving)’, and to love your neighbour as yourself.

We continue to pray for Mark and Clare, as they settle into the Vicarage and our communities. We hope Hector the dog is enjoying getting to know the local footpaths!
