The Collect
O God the King of glory,
you have exalted your only Son Jesus Christ
with great triumph to your Kingdom in heaven: we beseech you, leave us not comfortless,
but send your Holy Spirit to strengthen us
and exalt us to the place where our Saviour Christ is gone before,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen
Plant Stall at St Decuman's after Sunday Services
Last year the plant stall was hugely popular. People brought plants and bought new ones, or swapped with each other, and all the monies raised went into church funds.
So, do bring any surplus plants and money on Sundays until the planting season is over.

Ascension Day (Latin ascendare – to go up) last Thursday marked the end of the ‘Great Forty Days’ since Easter, during which the risen Christ appeared to his disciples many times, culminating in his ascension to heaven. Now we look forward to celebrating his gift of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost (next Sunday). As Head of the Church and our great High Priest, Christ prays for us always. One day all will call him ‘Lord’.
Cream Teas
This year we have decided to do cream teas at St Peter’s throughout the summer rather than all in August.
The dates will be 12 and 26 June, 03 and 17 July and
07 and 21 August.
On 03 July we would like to incorporate a mini fete - more details to follow. If you are able to help on any of these days, please could you let either Liz Payne or myself know.
Thank you, Sara. sara.hempshall@hotmail.co.uk or07427-969892.
